Ashley Shenk is a Senior Account Manager at Distinctive Edge Partners, bringing a background spanning strategic communications, marketing, corporate events, and account management within the Aerospace and Defense sector. Her work centers on developing clear, targeted messaging, elevating executive and organizational profiles, and managing complex initiatives that require coordination across clients, stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams.

Ashley has spent most of her career working with defense and aerospace organizations such as Ultra Electronics Group, a multinational defense and aerospace company. During her tenure, she held roles of increasing responsibility across human resources, corporate communications, and employee engagement. She led global internal communications and engagement initiatives from company-wide employee recognition programs and leadership forums that connected teams across Ultra’s international footprint. She also supported communications surrounding acquisitions and the integration of several defense and space businesses, developing communication plans and targeted messaging for employees and leadership throughout periods of significant organizational change.

At Distinctive Edge Partners, Ashley manages strategic communications and marketing programs for clients across the defense, government, and technology sectors. Her work includes content development, thought leadership, project management, and client engagement, coordinating the many moving pieces required to take a campaign, program, or event from strategy through execution.

Ashley has particular expertise in large-scale event management and production. She has led end-to-end planning and execution for high-profile government and industry events, including the Army Demand Signal Forum and Space and Defense Innovation during SXSW. Her event responsibilities have included managing budgets, venues, contracts, vendors, speaker and attendee communications, sponsorships, run-of-show development, logistics, on-site operations, and day-of execution.

Across both communications and events, Ashley is experienced in bringing structure to complex initiatives, aligning stakeholders around a clear message and objective, and managing execution through the details that determine whether a program works. Her combination of defense-industry knowledge, strategic communications experience, marketing expertise, and hands-on event leadership allows her to operate comfortably between strategy and execution.

Ashley holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh and a certification in Digital Marketing.
