Claire Guzman

As Account Coordinator for Distinctive Edge Partners, Claire brings attention to detail and dedication to her role supporting communications and event management clients within aerospace and defense. 

A team player dedicated to flawless execution, Claire takes great pride in ensuring her clients achieve exceptional outcomes. Leveraging her experience working across the space and defense startup ecosystem, Claire is highly adaptable and resourceful. She thrives in fast-paced environments and loves finding ways to build connections for her clients and team. 

Previously, Claire served as a Chief of Staff for Space Cowboy, a space company dedicated to removing space debris. She regularly oversaw the scheduling of meetings, ensured the timelines and milestones for SBIR and STTR proposals were met, and managed the company’s LinkedIn page. Working alongside the CEO, she helped start the company from the ground up, and during her time at Space Cowboy, a Phase I STTR was completed, and the Seed Round of funding began. Her work led her to regularly attend industry events such as SPACECOM, Fed Supernova, Defense Space Institute’s Space Resiliency Summit in Washington, DC, and local industry events with the company. 

Having grown up in a military family, Claire brings understanding and passion to her work within the aerospace and defense community. She is a self-starter with a strong ability to take initiative and achieve optimal results. Her social and outgoing nature shines when speaking to and connecting with clients, allowing everyone to feel welcome and heard in her presence. 

When Claire isn’t working to help the defense and aerospace industries thrive and connect, she can be found attending a hot yoga class, going on hikes, or spending time with her cat, Dude. As a self-proclaimed outdoor enthusiast, Claire has hiked part of the Appalachian Trail, enjoys fishing on Lake Austin, and regularly explores all of Austin’s green space. 

Claire attended the University of Texas at Austin and is proud to be a lifelong Longhorn.
